Kerala Court Awards Death Sentence To 15 PFI Members In BJP Leader’s Murder Case
In the murder case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC wing leader Ranjith Sreenivasan, a Kerala court awarded a death sentence to 15 persons associated with the Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), the now-banned in the country. According to the reports the murder happened in Kerala's Alappuzha district in December 2021 and today almost after 3 years, the Mavelikkara additional district session court-I judge VG Sreedevi served the justice.
The reports said that Ranjith Sreenivasan was attacked and brutally murdered at his residence on December 19, 2021, in front of his family members.

Naisam, Ajmal, Anoop, Mohammed Aslam, Abdul Kalam alias Salam, Abdul Kalam, Saffaruddin, Manshad, Jaseeb Raja, Navas, Sameer, Nazir, Zakir Hussain, Shaji Poovathungal, and Shernas Ashraf were the 15 PFI members who murdered BJP leader Renjith.
During the course, the prosecution sought the maximum punishment for the accused labeling them as a "trained killer squad" and the way they committed the cruel crime brings the murder within the ambit of the "rare of the rarest crimes".
After court's decision, BJP leader's family members expressed happiness and thanked the judiciary for delivering justice. Renjith's widow told the media that their loss was huge and it can never be fulfilled again. But they happy and feeling indebted to the court for sentencing the maximum punishment to the culprits. ,
"It's been 770 days since this crime took place and after hearing the verdict, we feel our wait was worth it. Special thanks to the prosecution and the police who stood with us," deeased BJP leader Renjith's wife said.
