Bengaluru Metro Changes Timings Starting Every Monday From January 13
In a bid to provide greater convenience to passengers arriving in the city by train and bus, Bengaluru Metro has announced that it will start early metro train services on Mondays.
Starting January 13, metro trains will commence at 4:15 am instead of the usual 5:00 am every Monday, aiming to ease early-morning traffic congestion and improve connectivity for commuters.

This initiative is especially beneficial for passengers disembarking at the City Railway Station and the Kempegowda Bus Stand, offering smoother last-mile connectivity for those traveling early in the morning. By providing an early start, Bengaluru Metro hopes to reduce the burden on roadways and allow passengers to avoid the heavy traffic that typically builds up later in the day.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) clarified that the adjusted timings will apply exclusively on Mondays, with no changes to the metro's operating hours on other days. Regular services will continue according to the existing schedule, starting at 5:00 am from Tuesday to Sunday.
With traffic issues continuing to plague the city, this change is expected to give commuters an efficient alternative for their journeys, helping them reach their destinations more conveniently and on time. The early start on Mondays aligns with the city's ongoing efforts to improve public transportation and offer commuters more flexible and reliable travel options.
