Massive Fire At Andhra Pradesh's Firecracker Factory, 8 Dead, Several Injured; CM Naidu Orders Probe

An explosion at a firecrackers factory was reported on Sunday from Andhra Pradesh, Anakapalli, where at least eight workers died and several got injured. Amoung the deceased, 2 were women. The blast not only resulted in fatalities but also left about seven individuals with severe injuries. The specific cause of the explosion is still under investigation, as stated by SP Tuhin Sinha, and efforts are underway to provide medical assistance to those affected.

Taking cognizance of the devastating incident and expressed condolences on the deaths of workers, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Home Minister V Anitha expressed their sorrow. They have also directed local authorities to provide every help required and best possible medical care.

CM also called for a thorough investigation into the incident, emphasizing the importance of understanding what led to such a catastrophic outcome.

Home Minister V Anitha conveyed the severity of the situation to the media, highlighting the loss of lives and the number of injured. She assured that the injured are being promptly transported to hospitals to receive the necessary treatment. In addition to state efforts, local volunteers have been assisting the police and officials in the recovery and hospital transfer of the victims.

The incident, which occurred around 12:45 pm, has also drawn attention from other political figures, including YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Reddy expressed his shock at the news and called for government support for the victims, urging his party leaders to provide all possible assistance in the aftermath of the explosion.
