CM Rekha Gupta To Launch Rs 300 Crore Road, School And Civic Projects In South Delhi

Major infrastructure development is set to begin across key parts of South Delhi, with projects worth over ₹300 crore scheduled to be launched in three assembly constituencies.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will lay the foundation stones for these works on Sunday, marking a significant push towards improving civic amenities in the region.

Projects Across Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Deoli

The development works will cover the Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Deoli assembly areas. South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri shared details of the allocation, stating that ₹85 crore will be spent in Badarpur, ₹115 crore in Sangam Vihar, and ₹104 crore in Deoli. Construction activities related to these projects are expected to begin soon after the foundation ceremonies.

Roads, Schools, Dispensaries and Parks in Focus

The planned development includes construction and improvement of roads and drainage systems, along with community facilities such as baraat ghars, dispensaries and public toilets. Schools will undergo reconstruction, while parks will be developed and upgraded to enhance public spaces. The objective of these projects is to raise the overall standard of living for residents in these densely populated areas.

CM Assures Adequate Funds for All Delhi Regions

According to Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ensured sufficient funding not only for these South Delhi constituencies but for all parts of the capital to provide better public facilities. He said that during a recent meeting with all seven Members of Parliament from Delhi, the Chief Minister had assured them that there would be no shortage of funds for development work.

Multiple Departments Involved in Funding

Funds for these projects have been sanctioned through several government bodies, including the Chief Minister Development Fund, Rural Development Board, Urban Development Department, Gramodaya Yojana and DUSIB. In addition, financial support has also been extended through the MP Local Area Development Fund to accelerate implementation of the schemes.
