Trainer, Aide Held For Allegedly Drugging Woman With Protein Drink, Assaulting Her

In the latest development, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a gym trainer and his associate for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman after making her unconscious by diluting an intoxicating substance into her protein drink.

Complaint Filed by Nursing Student

According to officials, the case came to light after a 21-year-old B.Sc Nursing student filed a complaint at a local police station. She stated that she used to visit a gym regularly, where she became acquainted with the accused, identified as Shehzad.

Over time, the trainer reportedly gained her trust. The woman alleged that he later took her to Dehradun under the pretext of meeting or spending time together.

Allegation of Intoxication and Assault

In her complaint, the woman claimed that during the visit, the accused mixed an intoxicating substance into her protein drink. After consuming it, she lost consciousness.

She further alleged that while she was in an unconscious state, the accused took her in a car and sexually assaulted her. The complaint highlights that the act was carried out without her consent and under the influence of a substance she was unaware of.

Role of Co-Accused

Police said that another man, identified as Mukarram, has also been arrested in connection with the case. The victim alleged that he assisted the main accused by keeping track of her movements and helping in the execution of the crime.

Officials believe that the involvement of the second accused points to a planned act rather than an isolated incident.

Following the complaint, police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Both accused have been taken into custody.
