Gurugram Accident: Bike Taxi Rider, Passenger Die In Early Morning Crash As Car Comes From Wrong Side
A tragic road accident in Gurugram claimed the lives of a young bike taxi rider and his passenger early Saturday morning.

The incident has once again raised concerns about road safety and reckless driving, especially during late-night hours.
Accident Occurred in Early Morning Hours
The accident took place on Dharm Marg in Sector 57 between 2:00 am and 2:30 am. According to police, a car coming from the wrong direction collided with a bike taxi near the entrance of a residential society.
The victims were identified as:
- Ritik Kumar (26) - the bike taxi rider, originally from Bihar
- Kartik Suresh (24) - a college student and passenger
At the time of the accident, Suresh was returning home after attending a friend's birthday party. He had booked a bike taxi and was just a few kilometres away from his residence.
Car Entered From Wrong Direction
Police said a black SUV entered Dharm Marg from Golf Course Extension Road while driving on the wrong side. The vehicle hit the bike taxi with great force.
Two people were reportedly inside the car at the time of the crash. After the accident, both individuals fled the scene without offering any help to the victims.
Impact Was Extremely Severe
The collision was so powerful that both victims were thrown nearly 15 to 20 feet away. Investigators revealed that the bike broke into two pieces due to the impact, with debris scattered across a large stretch of the road.
Passersby noticed the injured victims and immediately informed the police.
Victims Succumbed to Injuries
Police teams reached the spot quickly and arranged private ambulances to rush the victims to nearby hospitals.
- Ritik Kumar was taken to a private hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
- Kartik Suresh was admitted to a civil hospital, where he died during treatment within an hour.
The sudden loss has left both families in deep shock and grief.
Family Shares Emotional Account
Kartik Suresh's father stated that his son had gone out to attend a birthday celebration
and never returned home. He identified his son through photographs shown by authorities at the accident site.
The incident has deeply affected the family, highlighting the tragic consequences of reckless driving.
Police Investigation Underway
Gurugram police have registered a case under relevant sections related to rash and negligent driving. Both the damaged bike and the car have been seized.
Officials confirmed that efforts are underway to identify and arrest the driver who fled the scene. It is not yet clear whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

This incident has once again brought attention to the dangers of wrong-side driving and late-night speeding. Such accidents not only endanger lives but also highlight the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules.
