J&K Police Offers Vital Support to Pregnant Women and Stranded Families Amid Heavy Snowfall in Kashmir

Amid heavy snowfall in Kashmir, police provided timely help to those in need, including pregnant women and patients. In Budgam district, a pregnant woman from Kokerbagh required urgent medical care due to severe pain. Responding quickly, police evacuated her to Khag Hospital for treatment, according to a police spokesperson.

In another incident, Charar-i-Sharief police swiftly assisted in relocating a pregnant woman to the nearest healthcare facility. This ensured she received the necessary medical attention promptly. Meanwhile, Pakherpora police responded to reports of nomadic families stranded near Nallah Sangerwani due to the snow. They safely moved the families to Government Middle School, Pakherpora.

Police Assistance Amid Snowfall

Approximately 70 km away in Kulgam district, a distress call came from Uppermunda, Qazigund. A woman and her newborn were stuck at Chango Crossing due to slippery roads and heavy snowfall. Despite challenging weather conditions, a police team transported them on foot to their home in Uppermunda Gujjar Basti, Qazigund.

In Rangtraji Widkhud Devsar, another pregnant woman needed immediate medical attention. Police received the call and quickly evacuated her on foot to PHC Devsar for treatment. The police spokesperson confirmed this swift action.

Ensuring Safety and Health

In Shopian district, police also assisted a COPD patient who required oxygen. Their prompt response ensured the patient received necessary care during the harsh weather conditions.

The police's efforts across Kashmir highlight their dedication to public safety during adverse weather. Their quick actions helped ensure that those in distress received timely assistance despite the challenges posed by heavy snowfall.
