24-Year-Old Man Shot Dead by Assailants at Cafe in Northeast Delhi's Maujpur Area

A 24-year-old man named Faizan was shot dead by unidentified assailants at a cafe in Maujpur, northeast Delhi. Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot by unknown attackers at a cafe in northeast Delhi's Maujpur area late on Friday night, according to police reports. The incident was reported at 10:28 pm in the Welcome locality. A PCR call alerted authorities to the shooting, prompting a police team to rush to the scene where they found an injured man.

The victim, identified as Faizan, also known as Fazzi 24, was a resident of Welcome. He was immediately transported to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital for medical attention. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. A senior police officer confirmed these details.

Investigation and Evidence Collection

A crime and forensic science laboratory (FSL) team examined the crime scene to gather physical and scientific evidence. The exact number of attackers and the sequence of events leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have registered a case under Section 1031 (Murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with sections of the Arms Act at Welcome police station.

Initial investigations suggest that the shooting occurred either inside or very close to the cafe. Police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the cafe and surrounding areas to identify the suspects and trace their movements before and after the incident.

Efforts to Identify Suspects

Police teams have been dispatched to conduct raids at suspected hideouts, while local informers are being activated to gather leads. Officers are also questioning cafe staff and other individuals present during the incident to reconstruct the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The motive behind Faizan's killing has not yet been determined, and further investigation is ongoing. Police are working diligently to piece together all available information to solve this case.
