The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has announced a significant recruitment drive, inviting online applications for 3,250 vacancies across seven key Group B and C posts. Available Positions & Key Details:

A total of 3,250 vacancies are distributed among the following roles, each with specific pay scales and departments:

Revenue Inspector (RI) & ICDS Supervisor: 165 and 286 posts, respectively. Both offer a salary in Pay Level-9 (₹35,400-1,12,400).

Village Agricultural Worker (VAW): 520 posts with a salary in Pay Level-5 (₹21,700-69,100).

Junior Assistant (JA) & Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI): 1,237 and 422 posts, respectively. Both offer a salary in Pay Level-4 (₹19,900-63,200).

Amin & Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS): 378 and 242 posts, respectively. Both offer a salary in Pay Level-3 (₹18,000-56,900).

Eligibility at a Glance:

Age Limit: Generally, candidates must be between 21-42 years as of January 1, 2025. Specific posts like RI and ARI have a lower limit of 20 years. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/SEBC, Women, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.

Educational Qualification: Varies by post. Requirements range from a 10+2 pass (for Amin, SFS, ARI) to a Bachelor's degree (for RI, ICDS Supervisor). Proficiency in Odia language is mandatory for all candidates.

Other Criteria: Candidates must be Indian citizens of good character. Specific conditions apply for certain posts; for example, the ICDS Supervisor post is exclusively for women, and Junior Assistant applicants must be registered with a district employment exchange.

Application Fee:

A non-refundable examination fee of ₹500 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) candidates are exempted from this fee.

Selection Process:

The selection will be a rigorous two-stage process:

Stage-I: Written Examination (100 marks): An OMR/CBRE based MCQ test covering Mathematics, General Studies, English, Odia, Computer Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.

Stage-II: Practical Skill Test (50 marks): A qualifying test in basic computer skills. Only candidates who clear the written exam will be shortlisted for this stage.
Final selection will be based on merit, followed by document verification and counselling for post allotment.
