FIFA World Cup 2026: Check Dates And Venues For World's Biggest Football Tournament
The Federation Of Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) on Monday shared the schedule for the upcoming Football World Cup 2026. As per the schedule shared by the international football authority, the FIFA World Cup will commence on June 11, 2026.
It will be the first time in the Football World Cup's history that 48 teams will feature in the tournament. FIFA 2026 will be hosted jointly by the USA, Canada, and Mexico across 16 cities.

The opening match of FIFA 2026 will be played at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium on June 11, reads the schedule. The FIFA finals will be played at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on July 19, 2026.
Releasing the Football World Cup schedule, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said, "The most inclusive and impactful FIFA World Cup ever is no longer a dream but a reality that will take shape in the form of 104 matches in 16 state-of-the-art stadiums across Canada, Mexico, and the USA."
"From the opening match at the iconic Estadio Azteca to the spectacular final in New York New Jersey, players and fans have been at the core of our extensive planning for this game-changing tournament... that will not only set new records but also leave an indelible legacy," FIFA president added.
A total of 104 matches will be played between the 48 teams to claim the glittering trophy.
In the upcoming tournament, Mexico City is slated to host five matches, while New York/New Jersey will host eight games, including the final. Dallas and Atlanta are designated to host nine and eight games, respectively, which include the two semifinals. Miami is set to host seven games, featuring a third-place playoff and a quarterfinal.
