IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals Unveils New Jersey
Rajasthan Royals unveiled their IPL 2025 jersey on January 29. The new kit, inspired by the Vijay Stambh Monument in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, features the team's signature pink and blue colours. The franchise shared this update on social media, honouring several of their legendary players in a video presentation.
The team paid tribute to cricket icons like Yuzvendra Chahal, Graeme Smith, Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler, Shane Watson, Trent Boult, Ravichandran Ashwin, Brad Hodge, Rahul Dravid and the late Shane Warne. Their names and jersey numbers were incorporated into the new design.

IPL 2025 Squad and Auction
Before the IPL 2025 mega-auction, Rajasthan Royals retained key players such as Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma. During the auction event, they acquired talents like Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Tushar Deshpande and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Under Sanju Samson's leadership, Rajasthan Royals have shown promise in recent seasons. They reached the final in 2022 and made it to the playoffs in 2024 but fell short both times. The management is keen to address these shortcomings for a stronger performance in the upcoming season.
Coaching Staff and Preparations
Rahul Dravid has rejoined Rajasthan Royals as part of their coaching staff. He collaborates with Kumar Sangakkara and Vikram Rathour to prepare the team for another title challenge. Their combined expertise aims to enhance the squad's performance in IPL 2025.
The Indian Premier League's next season is anticipated to start on March 21. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will play the opening match at Eden Gardens. The tournament's final is also scheduled at this iconic venue. However, BCCI has yet to announce the complete schedule for IPL 2025.
