Ind vs SA: Irfan Pathan Suggests Changes To Rohit Sharma, Wants To See Jadeja, Mukesh Kumar In Team
India's test defeat against South Africa in the series opener at the Supersport Park, Centurion is a big concern for all cricket lovers around the world, including former cricketers. The way team lacked in all three departments-batting, bowling, and fielding, surely raised big question marks on Rohit Sharma and his men. With Proteas handing over a humiliating defeat by an inning and 32 runs, India's dream to win a test series against South Africa on their soil remains unachievable.
No Indian captain, including MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, ever clinched a test series in the Rainbow Nation.

Reviewing Team India's recent performance with the red ball, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, who mastered the art of swinging the ball during his career, suggested some significant changes that may bring more strength to the side. Sharing his piece of advice to team management, coach, and captain, Pathan said replacing Ravichandran Ashwin with Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI might help.
Despite lauding Ashwin for bowling well, Pathan batted for Jadeja stating the team missed Jadeja's impact in the first test.
"Ravindra Jadeja, if fit, should come back in the team. Ashwin did bowl well from what was expected out of him on that pitch but we missed Jadeja's control while batting at number 7 in Centurion," Irfan Pathan said during a show on Star Sports.
Pathan also suggested Rohit Sharma to try Mukesh Kumar in-place of Prasidh Krishna.
"If you're Rohit Sharma and you want to go with the same bowling attack, that's also fine. But if you're thinking of making a change, Mukesh Kumar could come in for Prasidh Krishna. But if you feel Prasidh is confident in the nets, then he should be backed for the second Test," the former cricketer added.
Team India is slated to play the second and final test of the series against South Africa from January 3 to 7 at Cape Town.
