AB de Villiers Hits A Blitzkrieg Century Off 39 Balls Laced With 15 Fours And 8 Sixes
South African cricket legend AB de Villiers is turning back the clock with a sensational run of form in the World Championship of Legends. Just days after his blistering hundred against India, de Villiers has now hammered another century-this time against Australia Legends-cementing his place as the tournament's standout performer.
Playing at Headingley in Leeds, the former Proteas star reached his century in just 39 balls, showcasing his trademark power-hitting and flair. He eventually scored 123 off 46 deliveries, including 15 fours and 8 sixes, before being dismissed in the 14th over by Peter Siddle.

What makes this feat even more remarkable is that de Villiers had faced just two balls in the opening two overs. But once he got going-smashing a four and a six off Brett Lee in the third over-he never looked back.
Record-Breaking Form
AB de Villiers is now the first player to score two centuries in the World Championship of Legends.
His previous ton came in 41 balls against England Legends.
No other batter in the tournament-featuring stars like Ben Dunk, Sarel Erwee, and Kamran Akmal-has managed more than one century.
The tournament, which began in 2024, features retired cricket stars representing their nations. Despite stepping away from international cricket in 2018 at the age of 34, de Villiers continues to prove why he is considered one of the most gifted batters of the modern era.
Legacy of a Legend
De Villiers still holds the world record for the fastest century in One Day Internationals, having scored 100 in just 31 balls against the West Indies in 2015. His performances in the Legends League are yet another reminder of his unmatched versatility and dominance with the bat.
