Dance, Else You'll Be Suspended: Tej Pratap Yadav Forces Police Officer To Dance, Says Bura Na Mano Holi Hai
A video showing Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, allegedly forcing a policeman to dance during Holi celebrations has stirred political unrest in Bihar. The incident, which took place at Tej Pratap's residence in Patna, has been criticised by both the BJP and JDU, who accuse the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of reverting to 'Jungle Raj'.
In the viral footage, Tej Pratap is seen on stage with a microphone, instructing those below. He orders a policeman to dance and threatens suspension if he refuses. This act has drawn sharp reactions from political parties in Bihar.

Political Reactions Intensify
The JDU's national spokesperson, Rajiv Ranjan, condemned Tej Pratap's actions. He emphasised that such behaviour is unacceptable in today's Bihar. "The era of 'Jungle Raj' is over," Ranjan stated. He urged the Lalu family to recognise that Bihar has evolved and such conduct is no longer tolerated.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticised the incident as an example of RJD's misuse of power. "Like father, like son," Poonawalla remarked. He accused Tej Pratap of using threats to control law enforcement officers, reminiscent of his father's governance style.
BJP Warns Against RJD's Return
Poonawalla further cautioned that if RJD regains power, Bihar could face lawlessness again. "This is just a trailer," he warned. He stressed the importance of preventing RJD from returning to power to avoid a repeat of past governance issues.
The video has heightened political tensions in Bihar as JDU and BJP target RJD for its previous governance record. The opposition parties are using this incident to criticise the RJD leadership ahead of upcoming elections.
Potential Election Impact
As the controversy escalates, political analysts suggest it might become a significant issue in Bihar's forthcoming elections. The opposition may leverage this incident to challenge the RJD leadership and influence voter sentiment.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has yet to respond officially to the allegations surrounding Tej Pratap Yadav's actions during Holi celebrations.
