Mandar Sudhakar Khare gives a sneak peek into his journey as a film director
Films have been the best medium for conveying stories to a larger audience. And we have witnessed many filmmakers deliver a power-packed message through films. While the story is the backbone of any film, one must know that the art and craft of presenting a film to the audience are of utmost importance. Mandar Sudhakar Khare, a versatile film director is a master of many trades who continues to leave everyone spellbound with his work in the industry.
Born in Maharashtra's Parbhani and brought up in Pune, Mandar hails from an engineering background. The filmmaker wanted to become an engineer before he made his foray into the entertainment world. Mandar has always been a creative lad, and he considers his creativity in capturing moments the reason behind his successful journey in the film industry.

To master his skills, Mandar learnt filmmaking from the coveted National Film and Television School, Bristol. However, his journey has been one of a kind. Initially, the filmmaker worked as a fashion photographer and media lead at Storm Fashion company, one of the leading fashion event companies in the country. Having gained adequate experience, Mandar got introduced to the film industry with the 2015 film 'Deool Band'.
Since then, there has been no turning back for him. The idea of being a photographer led him to get into cinematography as Mandar went on to work in some of the biggest films of Indian cinema like 'Chhichhore', 'Brahmastra' and 'RRR'. Mandar worked in the camera and electrical department, and he calls his experience a stepping stone towards his magnificent journey. Besides this, he is a prolific writer and is set to make his directorial debut with a web series called 'Perfect Strangers'.
Mandar has taken the writer and director's seat for the web series. This will be his entry into the OTT space. Along with him, 'Perfect Strangers' is directed by Akshata Gaigaware. The series will be a romantic love story catering to today's youth, and it will be streaming on an OTT giant soon. Mandar is elated with the way 'Perfect Strangers' has shaped, and he cannot wait for everyone to watch the series soon.
In addition, Mandar went on to conclude that filmmaking is a tedious process with the mutual effort from everyone. "Be it direction, production and technicalities, everyone has worked hard to bring 'Perfect Strangers' to light. As I look at the journey, I feel overwhelmed to learn different aspects of filmmaking before I take off as a writer and director. I am sure that hard work will pay off, and everyone will enjoy the series", Mandar concluded.
