Warrant Against Ex-RAW Officer Vikash Yadav Named By US In Khalisani Terrorist Pannun Case
A Delhi court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Vikash Yadav for failing to appear in court regarding an abduction and attempted murder case. The investigation, led by the Delhi Police Special Cell, involves serious allegations linked to a murder-for-hire plot.
A Delhi court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Vikash Yadav, a former officer of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). This action was taken due to Yadav's repeated absence from court hearings. The case involves allegations of abduction and attempted murder, based on a complaint by businessman Raj Kumar Walia.
The Delhi Police Special Cell is handling the investigation. They arrested Yadav in 2023 following an indictment by the US Department of Justice. This indictment linked him to a murder-for-hire plot targeting Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Despite these serious charges, Yadav had previously cited threats to his life as the reason for not attending court in person.

Legal Proceedings and Developments
In related proceedings, the court has extended the release of Abdullah Khan's passport. Khan, co-accused in this case, requested this extension due to his father's poor health. The court noted that Khan had previously traveled abroad without misusing his granted liberty. His passport release is now extended until 17 October 2025, under existing terms.
Abdullah Khan, Vikash Yadav, and Jalaluddin alias Sameer are currently out on bail. Meanwhile, investigators have identified another suspect, Bikram Gogoi from Guwahati. Gogoi applied for anticipatory bail after receiving four notices from the Special Cell. He claimed in his application that he introduced Jalaluddin to Abdullah.
Background and Allegations
The original complaint alleges that Yadav and Abdullah kidnapped and tortured Walia for ransom, invoking jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's name. This case has drawn significant attention due to its complex web of accusations involving multiple individuals.
The court also issued a notice to Yadav's bail surety under section 491 BNSS concerning procedures for handling a forfeited bond. This step underscores the seriousness with which the legal system is treating Yadav's failure to appear in court.
This ongoing legal saga highlights the intricate nature of criminal investigations involving high-profile individuals. As developments unfold, they continue to capture public interest and scrutiny.
