Delhi Police Advisory For August 15: In a bid to ensure public safety during the Independence Day celebrations, the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has announced a prohibition on the flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms.

This restriction, which will be in effect from July 22 to August 16, 2023, aims to prevent potential threats from criminal, anti-social, or terrorist activities.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Delhi police wrote, "In exercise of powers conferred upon by Sec.163 of the BNSS 2023,@CPDelhi has ordered for the observance of No-Fly Zone/Prohibition of certain flying objects in the NCT of Delhi from 02.08.2024 to 16.08.2024 given #IndependenceDay celebrations.": With the tweet, an image of the notice was also attached.

- Small-sized powered aircraft
- Quadcopters
- Para-jumping from aircraft

The ban is implemented to safeguard the general public, dignitaries, and critical installations from any aerial threats. The restrictions will help prevent unauthorized aerial activities that could compromise security during the heightened period of national celebrations.

Penalties for Violations:

Violations of this order will be penalized under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. The enforcement of this order underscores the commitment to maintaining safety and security in the nation's capital during a significant period of national importance.
