Delhi Crime: Family Driver Kills 5-Year-Old To Take Revenge From His Father; Arrested

New Delhi: A heart-wrenching crime has shaken Delhi's Narela area, where a five-year-old boy was kidnapped and brutally murdered by a man employed in his father's transport business. The accused, identified as Nitu, is currently absconding, while police teams have launched an intensive manhunt to apprehend him.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami, the child was reported missing around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He had been playing outside his home when he suddenly vanished. Family members and neighbours began searching for him and eventually made the horrifying discovery - the boy's body was found inside Nitu's rented accommodation nearby.

Dispute Led to Revenge Killing

Preliminary investigations revealed that the child's father, who owns several transport vehicles, had employed two drivers - Nitu and Wasim. On Monday evening, the two allegedly got into an argument while under the influence of alcohol. During the altercation, Nitu reportedly attacked Wasim.

When the matter reached the boy's father, he scolded and slapped Nitu for his behaviour. Feeling humiliated, Nitu allegedly sought revenge by abducting the boy the next day. Police said he took the child to his rented room and killed him using bricks and a knife - an act that has left the neighbourhood in shock and mourning.

Police Launch Manhunt

Soon after the body was found, police officers reached the spot and took the child to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. An FIR has been registered, and multiple police teams have been formed to track down the accused.

"Efforts are being made to trace and arrest the suspect using technical surveillance, local intelligence, and CCTV footage," DCP Swami said.
