BJP Gears Up For Delhi Polls 2025: Excitement Builds Ahead of PM Modi's Rally in Yamuna Khadar
A large crowd gathered in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Ghonda assembly constituency. The Prime Minister is set to launch the election campaign for his party in the upcoming Delhi elections. Supporters and party workers were seen chanting slogans, eagerly awaiting Modi's arrival. The BJP has once again nominated Ajay Mahawar for the Ghonda seat, while AAP has fielded Gaurav Verma.
Supporters Express Enthusiasm
BJP worker Pinky shared her excitement about Modi's visit, stating that he has worked for everyone and she hopes for a BJP victory in Delhi. "We want BJP to win... PM Modi does good work for everyone... I live in an old village and it is prone to floods... Announcements made for women's benefits will also prevail... We are excited to hear him today..." she told ANI.

Another supporter expressed a similar sentiment, saying, "BJP should come... PM Modi should come. He is working for the development of the country. We want such leader who will work for us..." Lilavati, a local resident, added, "PM Modi should come. There is no cleanliness in Delhi. We want him to win and work..."
BJP's Ambitions in Delhi
Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari voiced confidence that under Modi's leadership, the BJP would form a government in Delhi. He noted the enthusiasm among people and remarked on their dissatisfaction with Arvind Kejriwal. "It is time for PM Modi to come. People are very enthusiastic. BJP will form a government in Delhi under the guidance of PM Modi... People are angry with Arvind Kejriwal... BJP is in the heart of Delhi..." Tiwari said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to regain control of Delhi after nearly 27 years without power there. In contrast, AAP has dominated recent elections, winning 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020 out of 70 total seats. Meanwhile, Congress has faced setbacks over the last two elections, failing to secure any seats.
Upcoming Elections
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5 and will occur in a single phase. The vote counting is set for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are vying for the 70 assembly seats across Delhi.
The BJP had previously won eight seats during the 2020 assembly elections, including Ghonda. As political parties gear up for this crucial election battle, all eyes remain on how each party will perform amidst changing voter sentiments and political dynamics within the capital city.
The upcoming elections present an opportunity for political parties to showcase their vision and plans for Delhi's future development while addressing pressing issues faced by its residents today.
