Arvind Kejriwal Did Scams, Looted Crores Of Public Money: Rahul Gandhi

=

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi. He accused Arvind Kejriwal of promising "new politics" but instead engaging in a significant liquor scam, allegedly misappropriating public funds. Gandhi also questioned Kejriwal's unfulfilled promises to eradicate corruption, clean the Yamuna River, and address pollution issues.

Gandhi remarked on the ideological battle between Congress and BJP, noting Kejriwal's entry into politics with grand promises. "He vowed to change the politics of Delhi, eradicate corruption, clean Yamuna, will take measures to tackle pollution," he said. However, Gandhi claimed that Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were involved in a major liquor scam.

AAP's Welfare Schemes

Arvind Kejriwal recently urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters to vote for AAP in the upcoming elections. He emphasised that this would ensure continued access to welfare schemes initiated by his government. Kejriwal shared an encounter with a BJP supporter who praised improvements in government schools.

The former Delhi Chief Minister recounted asking the supporter about his children's education. The supporter acknowledged that his children attended government schools due to better facilities and teaching quality. Kejriwal warned that if AAP loses, residents might face additional expenses of Rs 25,000 due to discontinued welfare schemes.

Election Stakes

Kejriwal highlighted potential losses if BJP wins the election. He stated that free electricity, water, healthcare, bus rides for women, and quality education could end. This would cost residents approximately Rs 25,000 annually. He urged voters to consider their family's welfare over political affiliations.

Despite these claims from AAP leaders about potential discontinuation of welfare schemes under BJP rule, top BJP figures have denied such assertions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders assured that all welfare initiatives would persist regardless of election outcomes.

Upcoming Elections

The Delhi assembly elections are set for February 5 with vote counting on February 8. As the election approaches, AAP continues urging voters not to support BJP due to fears of halted welfare programs. Meanwhile, BJP maintains its stance on continuing existing schemes if elected.

The political landscape in Delhi remains tense as parties vie for control over 70 assembly seats. Both AAP and BJP are making strong appeals to voters based on promises of governance and continuity of benefits.
