Another Bomb Threat Hits Delhi: Dwarka Court Evacuated, Search Underway
On Wednesday morning, the Dwarka District Court in Delhi was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat via email. The email, sent around 9 PM on Tuesday, was reported to the police the following morning.
Upon receiving the alert, police dispatched bomb detection and dog squads to the court complex. A thorough search operation is currently underway. As of now, no suspicious items have been found.
Court proceedings have been suspended for the day, and all staff, lawyers, and visitors have been safely evacuated. Authorities are investigating the source of the threat.
This incident follows a series of similar threats received by institutions in Delhi in recent months. On April 8, Jesus and Mary College received a bomb threat, leading to the cancellation of classes. Earlier, on February 7, multiple schools, including Ahlcon International School and Shiv Nadar School, received similar threats via email, prompting evacuations and thorough searches.
In addition to educational institutions, the aviation sector has also been affected. In 2025, at least 15 flights, including those operated by IndiGo and Air India, received hoax bomb threats, causing disruptions and emergency landings.
Authorities are treating these threats with the utmost seriousness, conducting thorough investigations to identify the sources. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
