In a shocking incident that unfolded in broad daylight, a 16-year-old boy was seen attacking vehicles with a sword in the Bhandup area of Mumbai on Saturday afternoon. The attack, which took place around 3:30 pm, was caught on camera by onlookers and has since gone viral on social media platforms.

The teenager, wearing a white T-shirt, was seen hitting a sword against the front windshield of a bus, with several other vehicles around him. According to witnesses, the boy also targeted trucks in the area. His violent act created panic among the residents, with many people recording the incident on their phones.

The Mumbai Police acted swiftly, detaining the minor for further questioning after receiving the footage from the public. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. The boy's actions, however, caused fear and distress in the area, with the damage to the bus being estimated at around Rs 70,000.

Motive Behind The Attack

Upon investigation, the 16-year-old revealed that his actions were a result of anger after being scolded by his uncle. The teenager stated that the scolding had infuriated him, leading him to lash out in public. Police sources confirmed that the minor admitted to carrying out the attack as a form of revenge, though no serious injuries occurred during the event.

The Complaint And Investigation

The complaint against the teenager was filed by Dnyaneshwar Sawairam Rathod, a 42-year-old bus driver from the Vikhroli bus depot. Rathod stated that he was driving the bus when the boy stopped him and began wielding a sword. The teen reportedly threatened the passengers, shouting abusive words in an unclear language. Rathod also alleged that the boy attempted to stab him, with the intent to harm or kill. The boy reportedly smashed the windshield of the bus, causing significant damage.

The Mumbai Police have registered a case against the minor and are continuing their investigation into the matter. They are analysing the footage and speaking to witnesses to gather more details about the teenager's actions.

The incident has caused widespread shock in the Bhandup area, with many residents expressing concern about public safety. The police have assured the public that strict action will be taken against the teenager, despite his age.
