Mumbai Police Summon Orry, Popular Social Media Influencer, in Rs 250 Crore Drugs Probe

Mumbai Police have issued a summons to social media personality Orry, also known as Orhan Awatramani, in connection with the ongoing investigation into a ₹252 crore drugs case.

He has been directed to appear before the Anti Narcotics Cell's Ghatkopar unit on Thursday at 10 AM for questioning, according to ANI reports that cited Mumbai Police officials.

Celebrities Likely to Face Questioning

Investigators previously stated that several individuals from the film and fashion industries are expected to be questioned as the inquiry progresses. These names surfaced after disclosures made by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, the alleged drug dealer currently at the center of the case.

Details of the Case

The investigation began after Mumbai Police and Mysuru Police uncovered a Mephedrone manufacturing facility in July. The unit was dismantled during a coordinated operation in which drugs valued at more than ₹300 crore were seized.

Shaikh's Allegations and Custody

On Monday, Mumbai Police secured the custody of Shaikh after his deportation from Dubai last month. He is now being interrogated by the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti Narcotics Cell. During questioning, Shaikh reportedly claimed that he had been arranging rave parties in India and abroad for film personalities, fashion industry figures, and gangsters.
