Mumbai Metro Line 3 Update: First Look At Newly Revealed Siddhivinayak Station Near Temple

Mumbai's much-awaited Siddhivinayak Metro Station has now been unveiled as part of the Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line. This new underground station is located just steps away from the famous Siddhivinayak Temple, one of the most respected religious sites in the city. It is expected to greatly ease traffic and improve travel for thousands of people.

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), which is responsible for building the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro Line 3, shared the first images of the newly constructed station on their official social media handle.

The post read: "Here's an exclusive glimpse of #Siddhivinayak metro station built near one of #Mumbai's most revered temples, where devotion meets engineering. Navigating tight spaces and constant crowds, the station was constructed with extra care and coordination. Today, it brings thousands closer to blessings with ease, speed, and respect."

Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line): Key Features

1. Fully Underground: The Aqua Line is Mumbai's first metro corridor that runs completely underground.

2. Number of Stations in Phase 1: These include Aarey Colony JVLR, SEEPZ, Andheri, Marol Naka, Sahar Road, CSMIA Terminal 1, CSMIA Terminal 2, Santacruz, Bandra Colony, and Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).

This first phase is now open, while the rest of the route will be completed in two more stages:

1. Phase 2A (BKC to Worli): Will include stations at Dharavi, Shitaladevi Temple, Dadar, and Siddhivinayak Temple.

2. Phase 2B (Worli to Cuffe Parade): Will cover Worli and Acharya Atre Chowk stations.

Once complete, the Aqua Line will connect key business and residential areas across Mumbai, making daily travel faster and more comfortable for everyone.
