Mumbai Local Train Services Block: Delays And Cancellations Today And Next Sunday—Check The Schedule
A Mega Block will be implemented on the Central Line on Sunday, February 2, from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Local train services will be affected on both the UP and DOWN lines between Mulund and other stations. The disruptions will cause delays of up to 15 minutes in the normal schedule.
I. DOWN fast-line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10:58 AM and 3:10 PM will be diverted to the DOWN slow line at Matunga. These trains will stop at their usual stations between Matunga and Mulund, and will be about 15 minutes late. Fast trains beyond Thane will return to the DOWN fast line at Mulund.
II. UP fast-line services leaving Thane from 11:25 AM to 3:27 PM will be diverted to the UP slow line at Mulund. They will stop at their usual stations between Mulund and Matunga, and will be re-diverted to the UP fast line at Matunga.
On the Western Line, a four-hour Jumbo Block will be taken on Sunday, February 2, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This is due to maintenance work on tracks, overhead wires, and signalling systems between Jogeshwari and Kandivali stations.
I. During the block, Mail and Express trains from Bandra Terminus will operate on the Down Fast line between Andheri and Borivali, which will affect platform scheduling at Borivali station.
II. Some suburban services will be cancelled, and there will be no block on the Trans Harbour or Uran lines.
Block On Virar To Vaitarna And Saphale To Kelve
A subsequent maintenance block is scheduled next Sunday, February 9 to facilitate the launching of Pre-Stressed Concrete (PSC) slabs and girders between Virar & Vaitarna and Saphale & Kelve Road. This block will be in effect for five hours and thirty minutes, from 1:40 AM to 7:10 AM, affecting both UP and Down Main Lines.
As a result, several Western Railway trains will be impacted, with potential delays, rescheduling, or cancellations. Passengers planning to travel during these hours should verify the status of their trains and consider alternative arrangements if necessary.
