MHADA Housing Lottery 2024: Price Cuts Drive Applications, Deadline Extended Until This Day—See How To Apply

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received 73,604 applications for 2,030 flats, with 52,898 applicants having paid the deposit. In response to high demand, MHADA has extended the deadline for online application registration and acceptance until September 19 to allow more citizens to participate in the lottery.

MHADA has also announced a reduction in the prices of 370 flats received from builders. Prices have been cut by 10 to 25 per cent depending on the income group. Flats in the lowest-income group have seen a 25 per cent reduction, while prices for those in the low-income group have been lowered by 20 per cent. Mid-income group flats have had their prices reduced by 15 per cent, and high-income group flats by 10 per cent. These reductions have led to an increase in applications.

How To Apply

1. Applicants must use the official website (https://housing.mhada.gov.in) or the app for registrations.
2. The applicant's mobile number must be linked with their Aadhaar card.
3. Additionally, both the applicant and their spouse must upload their Aadhaar and PAN cards via the DigiLocker app during the registration process.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Requirements

Those applying under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY - Urban) must be registered on the scheme's portal. If the winning applicant is not already registered, their application with MHADA will be considered only after registering with PMAY. The applicant's annual family income must be less than ₹6 lakhs, and they must not own any house in the country in their name or their spouse's name.

Domicile Certificate

Applicants are required to upload a Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate with a barcode, issued after 1 January 2018, when applying for the MHADA house lottery.
