Shinde is scheduled to take his oath alongside Ajit Pawar, marking a new chapter in Maharashtra's governance. This ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, and will be a significant event for the Shiv Sena party and its supporters. The news was confirmed by sources within Shiv Sena, indicating a strategic reshuffle in the state's leadership roles.

He expressed his confidence in Shinde's participation and contribution to the new government, highlighting the collective ambition to fulfill promises made to the people of Maharashtra.

"The swearing-in ceremony of the new government will be held tomorrow at 5:30 pm in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We will finalise by evening who will take the oath tomorrow. Yesterday, I met Eknath Shinde and requested him to join us in this government, as it is the wish of Mahayuti workers. I am confident he will be with us. We will fulfil the promises made to the people of Maharashtra," said Fadnavis.

Reflecting on his tenure and the achievements of the previous government, Eknath Shinde shared his satisfaction and pride in the work accomplished. He emphasized the historical significance of their governance, praising the collaborative efforts that led to impactful decisions for the state.

"I am very happy with the completion of two-and-a-half years. The work done by our government–the Mahayuti government–by the three of us and our team in the last 2.5 years is remarkable. It will be written in golden letters in history. We are proud to have taken such significant decisions," Shinde remarked.
