Maharashtra Assembly Election: Amit Shah Unveils BJP Poll Manifesto, Calls it 'Vision Document'
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the BJP's manifesto for the upcoming 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections on Sunday, 10 November, in Mumbai.
The event saw the attendance of senior party leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.

Senior BJP minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, who led the manifesto committee, emphasised the party's dedication to Maharashtra's development, showcasing the achievements of the current Mahayuti government.
"This manifesto is dedicated to the people of Maharashtra. Under our leadership, the state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has seen notable growth. A Mahayuti government is essential for the state's economic advancement. Our double-engine government has played a key role in improving road infrastructure, adding more highways to boost connectivity," Mungantiwar stated.
He also reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to India's economic goals: "We are committed to achieving a five trillion dollar economy and will fulfil every promise in this manifesto after our victory."
The BJP's manifesto, described as a "vision document," outlined a range of initiatives, including 'Mission Olympics 36', support for farmers, the 'Ladki Behna Yojana', and healthcare improvements.
At the launch, Amit Shah stated that the BJP's manifesto truly reflects the aspirations of Maharashtra's people.
"Maharashtra has always paved the way for an independent India and for social reform, and the aspirations of this state are mirrored in the manifesto," said Shah.
He added, "The manifesto reflects the genuine needs and aspirations of the people of Maharashtra. This state is a leader. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj began his journey here. This manifesto embodies the spirit of Maharashtra," emphasising respect for farmers and women's empowerment to build a sense of pride.
Shah also underscored the government's dedication to ensuring a safe and secure Maharashtra through various initiatives.
He reaffirmed that the BJP's primary competition remains the MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) alliance.
Directing a pointed question at Uddhav Thackeray, Shah challenged, "Can he persuade Rahul Gandhi to speak positively about Veer Savarkar? Or get any Congress leader to say something appreciative about Balasaheb Thackeray?"
The Congress released its manifesto for the Maharashtra polls on November 6.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held on November 20, with vote counting for all 288 constituencies scheduled for 23 November.
