Ganeshotsav 2025: Indian Railways Runs 380 Special Trains, Highest Ever For Festive Travel

To ensure comfortable and hassle-free travel for devotees during Ganeshotsav 2025, Indian Railways has announced 380 Ganpati Special train trips, marking the highest number ever. In comparison, 305 special trips were operated in 2023, and the number increased to 358 in 2024.

Central Railway Leads with 296 Special Services

Central Railway will operate the maximum number of 296 festive special trains to cater to heavy travel demand across Maharashtra and the Konkan region. Western Railway will run 56 Ganpati Special trips, Konkan Railway (KRCL) 6 trips, and South Western Railway 22 trips.

Ganpati Special Train Halts on Konkan Railway

The Ganpati Special trains on Konkan Railway will halt at the following stations: Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Warmne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, Kalambani Budruk, Khed, Anjani, Chiplun, Kamathe, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Junction, Karwar, Gokama Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Mookambika Road, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, and Surathkal.

Festival Dates and Train Operations

Ganpati Puja will be celebrated from 27th August to 6th September 2025. To meet the anticipated festive rush, Ganpati Special trains have been operational from 11th August 2025, with additional services being progressively added as the festival approaches.
