Eknath Shinde Net Worth: How Rich Is Maharashtra CM? Find Out What All He Owns, Properties, His Bank Balance
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's financial affidavit for 2023-24 has revealed a nearly 50% dip in his income since 2018-19.
Shinde, who will contest from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency in Thane in the upcoming assembly elections on November 20, reported an income of Rs 34,81,135 for 2023-24, down from Rs 61,00,841 five years ago. Despite the drop in his income, the combined assets of Shinde and his wife have seen a remarkable increase, rising from Rs 11.56 crore in 2019 to Rs 37.68 crore in 2023-24-a 225% jump.

While Shinde's income decreased, his wife's income rose by 59%, from Rs 9,94,096 in 2018-19 to Rs 15,83,972 in 2023-24. Their cash holdings, however, remain modest, with Shinde declaring Rs 2,600 in cash and his wife holding Rs 2 lakh.
The affidavit also highlighted significant investments and property assets. Shinde has investments valued at Rs 1.44 crore, while his wife has investments worth Rs 7.77 crore. Shinde's immovable assets, which include land and apartments, are valued at Rs 13.38 crore, and his wife's immovable assets are worth Rs 15.08 crore.
On the liability front, Shinde owes Rs 5.29 crore, while his wife has debts amounting to Rs 9.99 crore.
In the November election, Shinde will go head-to-head with Kedar Dighe, the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate and nephew of Shinde's late mentor, Anand Dighe. The outcome of this closely watched contest will be announced on November 23.
