CM Devendra Fadnavis-Led Maharashtra Govt Transfers 8 IAS Officers
The Maharashtra government announced a significant reshuffle involving eight senior IAS officers. This move marked a notable change in the state's bureaucratic structure. The Inspector General of Registration and Stamps, HS Sonawane, was replaced by Ravindra Binwade, who previously served as the State Agriculture Commissioner.
Maharashtra Key Bureaucratic Changes
Suraj Mandhare, formerly the Sports and Youth Commissioner, has taken over as Agriculture Commissioner. Meanwhile, IA Kundan, who was the Principal Secretary for School Education and Sports, has been succeeded by Ranjit Singh Deol from Food and Civil Supply. Sachindra Pratap Singh has transitioned to become the Commissioner of School Education from his previous role as Divyang Welfare Department Secretary.

Prashant Narnavare has moved from being the Commissioner of Women and Child Welfare to serving as Secretary of Special Inquiry Officer in the General Administration Department. Ruchesh Jayvanshi, previously CEO of Rashtriya Gramin Jivannoti Abhiyan, now holds the position of Secretary in the Minority Affairs Department.
Promotions and Appointments
The Nashik district caste verification committee's President, Geetanjali Baviskar, is now CEO of Maharashtra State Khadi and Gramodyog Board. Pradip P., who held this CEO position before Baviskar, is now appointed as Fisheries Commissioner. Aahok Karanjkar steps in as Managing Director of Maharashtra State Finance Corporation.
Sonia Sethi, Dinesh Waghmare, Santosh Kumar, Aseem Gupta, and B Venugopal Reddy have all been elevated to Additional Chief Secretary rank. Piyush Singh has advanced to Principal Secretary status. Milind Borikar, Ravindra Binwade, Deepak Singla, Kunal Prakash Khemnar, and Nidhi Choudhary have been promoted to IAS level-13 selection grade in the pay matrix.
Further Promotions
Pune Metropolitan Commissioner Yogesh Mhase has been promoted to level 14 in his current role within the pay matrix. Similarly, Rajesh Narvekar from Food and Drug Administration has also achieved level 14 status while maintaining his existing position.
The Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation has seen its leadership promoted to level 14 within their current roles. Additionally, Manik Gursal from Maharashtra Maritime Board has received a promotion to level 14 while continuing as CEO.
This reshuffle reflects strategic changes aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency within Maharashtra's government framework.
