Boisar Bullet Train: New Station To Slash Mumbai Travel Time To 36 Minutes
Boisar, the largest industrial suburb in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, is on the brink of a major transportation upgrade with the introduction of the Boisar Bullet Train Station. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) made this announcement on Monday, marking a significant step toward enhanced connectivity in the region.
Currently under construction, the new station is set to revolutionise travel between Mumbai and Boisar. Once completed, it will enable commuters to journey from Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai to Boisar in just 36 minutes, a dramatic reduction in travel time that promises to benefit both residents and businesses alike.

The design of the Boisar Bullet Train Station is a blend of modernity and tradition. The station's façade draws inspiration from the traditional fishing nets used by Konkani fishermen, reflecting the local culture while offering a state-of-the-art transport hub.
Boisar Bullet Train Station Location
The Boisar Bullet Train Station is strategically located on the Boisar-Chillar State Highway (No. 32), near the Gram-Panchayat Man, within the villages of Betegaon and Man. Its prime location ensures seamless connectivity to major transport routes, including NH 48 (Delhi-Chennai), which is just 13.6 km away. Additionally, the station is conveniently situated 6 km from both the Boisar Western Railway Station and Boisar Bus Station, making it easily accessible for local commuters.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The station will feature a two-storey building equipped with a wide range of facilities to ensure passenger comfort. Amenities will include lounges, both paid and unpaid waiting rooms, smoking rooms, first aid services, toilets, and drinking water facilities. The station will also be fitted with lifts and escalators for easy access, and shops at the concourse level will provide added convenience for travellers.
Parking will be ample, accommodating private cars, taxis, two-wheelers, and buses. Additionally, there will be an auto stand, a station plaza, and green areas or parks outside the station, contributing to a pleasant environment for passengers and visitors alike.
The station's proximity to key industrial areas, including the Boisar and Tarapur industrial zones, Tarapur Atomic Power Station, and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), will further enhance its importance as a transportation hub. The nearby Vadhvan Port also adds to the station's strategic value.
Tourist Attractions Nearby
In addition to serving as a vital link for commuters and industrial traffic, the Boisar Bullet Train Station will also be a boon for tourists. The station is located near several popular destinations, including Chichani Beach, Nandgaon Beach, Shirgaon Beach, Kelwa Beach, Dahanu and Bordi Beach, Hiradpada, Kalamandevi Waterfall, and the Mahalakshmi Temple. These attractions make the station an ideal starting point for exploring the local area.
