Bigg Boss Winner Munawar Faruqui On Lawrence Bishnoi's Hitlist; Gang Planned His Killing Last Month: Reports

Bigg Boss 17 Winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui's name is also on gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's hitlist, revealed media reports. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang with a hitman, was reportedly pursuing Munawar Faruqui in September.

Soon after the Intelligence's report, Munawar Faruqui has been relocated for his safety. Sources revealed that during a flight from Mumbai to Delhi for an event, two henchmen of the gang were tailing him. They had even booked rooms at the same hotel where Faruqui planned to stay.

High drama unfolded in South Delhi when police acted on intelligence reports about a threat to Faruqui. The alert prompted swift action at both IGI indoor stadium and The Suryaa hotel. Faruqui was participating in the Entertainers Cricket League 2024 and staying at the hotel. He was quickly moved to Mumbai for his protection while police launched an investigation into the threat.

Security Measures and Investigation

Following these events, security agencies have provided protection to Munawar in Mumbai. The threat persists as Lawrence Bishnoi allegedly aims to establish himself as a "Hindu underworld don" through such acts. Meanwhile, authorities are probing whether Baba Siddiqui's murder is linked to Bishnoi's ambitions or his association with Salman Khan.

The alert emerged during police interrogations related to a recent shooting in Greater Kailash-I, which resulted in businessman Nadir Shah's death. Suspects disclosed they were initially tasked with scouting The Suryaa hotel for a planned murder but later received orders to eliminate Shah, which they executed on Thursday night.

Unfolding Events and Potential Targets

As investigations continued, it became evident that Faruqui was also a potential target. In response, police formed two teams: one secured the hotel while another monitored IGI stadium, where YouTuber Elvish Yadav competed against Faruqui, according to media reports.

The motive behind targeting Shah remains unclear, with ongoing investigations trying to determine any connection he might have had with the venue or other individuals involved. Authorities are working diligently to uncover more details surrounding these incidents.

The comedian previously faced controversy after making comments about a Hindu deity during one of his stand-up shows. This incident has added complexity to the situation as security measures continue around him.

Munawar's ordeal highlights ongoing threats from criminal elements seeking notoriety through violent acts. As investigations progress, authorities remain vigilant in ensuring public safety and preventing further attacks.
