Baba Siddique Murder: Crime Branch Arrests Scrap Dealer For Allegedly Providing Weapon To Killers
The Mumbai Police's crime branch on Sunday apprehended a scrap dealer in Navi Mumbai in connection with the murder of Baba Siddique.
The person, originally from Udaipur in Rajasthan, is accused of supplying the weapon used by the men who killed the NCP leader on 12 October.

With this arrest, the total number of suspects in custody has risen to 10.
The accused has been identified as Bhagwat Singh Om Singh (32), who resides and works in Navi Mumbai. Singh has been remanded in police custody until 26 October by a local court.
Baba Siddique was fatally shot by three attackers outside the office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique. Police have already arrested two shooters-Gurmail Baljit Singh (23) and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap (19).
However, the main shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, and two others involved in the murder conspiracy remain at large.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the high-profile murder.
Last week, police arrested five individuals who allegedly provided logistical support to the killers. These individuals have been identified as Nitin Gautam Sapre (32), Sambhaji Kisan Pardhi (44), Pradeep Dattu Thombre (37), Chetan Dilip Pardhi, and Ram Fulchand Kanoujia (43).
"The police interrogation revealed that the Sapre-led group had demanded ₹50 lakh from the mediator to assassinate Baba Siddique. However, the deal fell through, leading to a disagreement over the contract, after which they decided to back out," an official stated on Saturday.
Two of the five arrested had carried out surveillance of Siddique's office prior to the murder. Sapre and Kanoujia had also monitored Siddique's house and office twice, taking pictures and making videos.
