The caftan draped gracefully over Hillary, featuring flowing sleeves and an elaborate pattern adorned with gold accents. The combination of plum and pink shades blended harmoniously, showcasing Hillary's sophisticated style and attention to detail, as reported by US media outlet.

To complement her attire, Hillary opted for pointed-toe shoes and accessorized with delicate jewellery, including a simple necklace and sparkling earrings. This choice of outfit echoed the colour scheme worn by First Lady Dr Jill Biden, who hosted the event in a dazzling Oscar de la Renta gown from the fall 2024 collection.

Draped in an ombré art nouveau crystal embroidered dress with shades of purple cascading down the bodice, Dr Biden's gown complemented Yuko Kishida's attire beautifully.

The evening's fashion highlights extended beyond Hillary and Dr. Biden, with notable mentions including Lauren Sánchez's burgundy Rasario gown from the 2024 resort collection. Sánchez's gown featured lightweight satin and intricate lace inserts, sculpting a sophisticated silhouette for the occasion, as per media reports.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden presided over the state dinner, marking their fifth such event since President Biden's inauguration in January 2021. The guest list comprised distinguished individuals such as Vice President Kamala Harris, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, renowned actor Robert De Niro, philanthropist Tiffany Chen, and musician Paul Simon, among others.

The event underscored the significance of diplomatic relations and cultural exchanges between the United States and Japan, celebrated through fashion, cuisine, and the spirit of hospitality at the White House.
