‘You Me Stand?’ Pakistan Reporter And Cop’s Hilarious Broken English Argument Sparks Laughter | Watch Video
A funny video from Pakistan, allegedly showing a reporter and a police officer arguing in broken English, is quickly gaining popularity on social media. The clip, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter has left viewers in fits of laughter.
In the video, an alleged police officer accuses a reporter of making threats as they argue over a parking issue. The journalist questions the cop about the legality of certain parked vehicles, to which the officer, clearly upset, reprimands him for allegedly threatening him.

"I only say you, this is legal?" the reporter asks the officer, who immediately admits, "No." A few seconds later, both can be heard saying, "Not legal. Not legal." The verbal exchange then intensifies, with the police officer accusing the reporter of making threats. "This dumki (threatening) legal? My brother, you me stand," the officer says in broken English. In response, the journalist humorously asks, "What is the meaning of 'you me stand'? I don't know."
The video ends with the police officer insisting that the journalist visit the SP's office to resolve the matter.
Since being shared, the video has amassed over 191,000 views and has sparked a range of reactions. Some users found it hilarious, while others compared the conversation to a playful exchange between Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
"At least it is better than the English spoken by their cricketers," one user jokingly wrote. Another commented, "After this, I hope I haven't forgotten my English!!"
"Babar and Rizwan arguing about match strategy," said a third user. "A place where English took its last breath," wrote another.
One user joked, "Two first-standard kids showing off in English," while another noted, "The 3-language policy is important."
"Language is a tool for connection, not a measure of superiority. We must embrace our rich linguistic diversity while leveraging technology to enhance education. AI can bridge gaps, making learning accessible in every language. This is the future we need to build together," commented one thoughtful user.
