In a video circulating on social media, PM Luxon is seen joyfully throwing colours into the crowd using a cloud gulal cylinder. As the countdown reached 3-2-1, the crowd erupted in cheers, and loud music filled the air. People exchanged warm greetings, wishing each other a "Happy Holi" as they joined in the festivities. His participation in the celebrations was a memorable moment of cultural exchange.

Luxon's visit to India is scheduled from March 16 to 20. This will be his first trip to India as Prime Minister and is expected to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in trade and investment sectors. Luxon has spoken highly of India in the past, saying, "I am a big fan of India... It's a country I love, admire tremendously."

During his visit, PM Luxon will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on March 17 to discuss trade, defence cooperation, and people-to-people ties. Additionally, he will meet President Droupadi Murmu and interact with key business and political leaders.

Luxon will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, which includes ministers, senior officials, business leaders, media, and members of the Indian diaspora. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Mumbai from March 19 to 20 before returning to New Zealand. His visit underscores the strong ties between India and New Zealand and their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors.
