In a video message filmed on Wednesday, Kate disclosed the news and mentioned that she and William were managing the situation privately for the sake of their young family. It was also revealed in February that King Charles, her father-in-law, was undergoing cancer treatment, resulting in the postponement of his public royal duties.
While Kensington Palace refrained from providing further details about the type of cancer, it confirmed that Kate was on the path to recovery and had commenced preventative chemotherapy in February.
Following her surgery, it was announced that Kate would not resume official duties until after Easter. Throughout this period, Kate and William prioritized privacy, particularly until their children George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Began their school holidays, as reported by Reuters.
Kate expressed gratitude for the support and understanding of her children during this challenging time, emphasizing her focus on healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. Despite her absence from public engagements, Kate assured that she was progressively improving each day.
