U.S. State Department Urges India-Pakistan To Resolve Pahalgam Terror Attack Crisis
Reiterating its support for India and denouncing the attack, the U.S. State Department has urged India and Pakistan to find a responsible solution in the wake of the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The inquiry into the tragedy, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, is being led by the National inquiry Agency (NIA). The U.S. Department of State stressed that Washington has been in close contact with both nations, pushing them to work together to find a responsible solution. The United States has been keeping a close eye on the situation, according to a spokeswoman, who also urged all sides to cooperate in order to find a peaceful settlement.
The spokesperson reaffirmed the U.S. position in a statement, saying that President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance share the country's strong support for India and condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist assault. India is seen by the United States as a vital regional ally, especially as both nations work to offset China's expanding sway over Asia.

As Pakistani troops have persisted in breaking the truce, tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) have escalated. In the districts of Poonch and Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir, there have been reports of unprovoked gunfire for the fourth night in a row. Following the attack, tensions between India and Pakistan have increased as a result of these continuous ceasefire violations.
The attack, which happened in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, is the subject of a thorough investigation by the NIA. In order to piece together the events, the NIA is interviewing witnesses and inspecting important sites under the direction of top officers, including an Inspector General of Police, a Deputy Inspector General of Police, and a Superintendent of Police. In order to learn the specifics of one of the biggest attacks in Kashmir in recent memory, the agency is concentrating on obtaining information and comprehending the attackers' operations.
