Daniels asked to pay Trump team another $121k in legal fees

Adult film star Stormy Daniels was ordered to pay more than $121,000 for former US President Donald Trump's legal fees, after she lost a defamation suit against him.

Daniels was ordered to pay more than $121,000 to the attorneys of Trump, by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in California. That's on top of the $500,000 in court-ordered payments she already paying to Trump attorneys.

She had filed and lost a defamation suit against the former president.

Daniels sued Trump in 2018 after Trump in a tweet called an allegation by Daniels that an unknown man threatened her in a parking lot to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump a "total con job."

Trump later accused Daniels of lying and said the person who threatened her is "nonexistent". He said Daniels' attempt to sue him is a "total con job".

Trump denounced the criminal charges against him in connection to hush money payments made to a porn star before the 2016 presidential election and said the US has now become a "failing nation" where the "radical left lunatics" want to interfere with the elections by using law enforcement.

Trump, the first former US President to be criminally charged, has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records at his arraignment in a Manhattan court on charges relating to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels. The 76-year-old former Republican president ruled the country for four years till January 2021.
