Russian Media Airs Melania Trump's Unclad Photos After Trump's Election Win
In a controversial move, Russian state media aired explicit nude photos of Melania Trump following her husband Donald Trump's landslide victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
The images were broadcast on Russia-1's popular program 60 Minutes, with a clip of the segment going viral across social media platforms, as reported by The Mint. Julia Davis, creator of Russian Media Monitor, shared the footage on X (formerly Twitter), shedding light on how Russian television marked Trump's win.

Melania Trump's Unclad Photos
The broadcast featured the nude photos taken in 2000, showing Melania in provocative poses aboard Donald Trump's private Boeing 727. The Russian anchor of the program described the images in explicit detail, including one of Melania lying on furs in a negligee.

The photos were originally part of a magazine spread, reportedly showcasing her near a private aeroplane and aboard the Trump jet. The decision to air these pictures was met with surprise, with many social media users criticizing the act as an attempt at mockery, as reported by The Mint.
In her response, Davis remarked that the display of the photos was a clear jab at the incoming First Lady, as Russia-1's anchor appeared to struggle to contain laughter during the segment. Netizens quickly took to social media, calling the incident "embarrassing" and "shocking," with many suggesting that Russia was mocking the United States.

Melania Trump has previously addressed the controversy surrounding her past as a nude model. In a September video posted on X, she defended her career choice, saying she stands "proudly" behind her modelling work. She explained that the photoshoot was a personal decision, part of her journey before becoming First Lady. In the video, Melania emphasized the importance of appreciating the human form, referencing historical artists who revered the beauty of the body. She also pointed out that such scrutiny of her past work was unnecessary and highlighted the importance of self-expression through art.
This latest incident raises questions about the political and media dynamics between Russia and the U.S., and whether such actions are part of a broader strategy to undermine or mock the Trumps as they prepare for a potential return to the White House.
