Emotional Account from the Family

The father of Dr. Sulaymaan, Majid Mukarram, shared heartbreaking details with Khaleej Times. He explained how the family was initially informed that the glider had lost radio contact. Upon arriving at the hospital, they were told that both the occupants were critically injured and undergoing resuscitation efforts. However, Sulaymaan passed away before his family could reach him. His mother and younger brother were present at the aviation club, unaware of the tragedy that was unfolding.

The news of his death reached the family at around 4:30 p.m. Tragically, Dr. Sulaymaan's younger brother, who had been scheduled to take the next flight, canceled the trip after the incident.

Known for his advocacy, he held the position of honorary secretary and later co-chaired the Northern Resident Doctors Committee of the British Medical Association (BMA).
