In a significant meeting on the eve of the 16th BRICS Summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin underscored the deepening friendship and coordination between their nations. PM Modi emphasised, "My two visits to Russia in the last three months reflect our close coordination and deep friendship," highlighting the robust partnership that has flourished over the years.
During their discussions, Modi noted that the Annual Summit in Moscow in July had further solidified cooperation across various fields. He stated, "In 15 years, BRICS has created its special identity, and now many countries of the world want to join it." This remark reflects the growing influence and appeal of the BRICS coalition in the international arena.

Addressing the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, PM Modi reiterated India's stance on the importance of peaceful resolutions. "I have been in constant touch with you on the subject of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. As I have said earlier, we believe that the problems should be resolved in a peaceful manner," he affirmed. Modi expressed India's commitment to facilitating dialogue and restoring stability in the region, saying, "We fully support the early establishment of peace and stability."
Furthermore, PM Modi emphasised the humanitarian aspect of these efforts, stating, "All our efforts give priority to humanity. India is ready to provide all possible cooperation in the times to come." His remarks signal India's willingness to play a constructive role in addressing global challenges.
As the BRICS Summit approaches, the discussions between Modi and Putin set the stage for deeper collaboration and a unified front on pressing international issues. The world will be watching closely as these leaders work together to shape the future of their nations and the broader BRICS community.
