No Food, Fuel Supply: Israel Announces 'Complete Siege' On Gaza

Israel on Monday announced a complete ban on food supply and fuel to Gaza following the attacks by the Hamas terrorists on Israel on Saturday. Gaza has already been deprived of electricity supply by Israel.

"I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly," Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was quoted as saying.

This came after the Hamas terrorists killed more than 1100 people with more than 700 killed in Israel, including 44 soldiers.

Gaza has been facing backlashes since 2007 from Israel and Egypt since Hamas seized power from rival Palestinian forces.

Earlier on Sunday, a war was declared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas with an aim to eradicate the terrorist group's hideouts. Meanwhile, officials have reported a loss of 493 lives in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes on Sunday.

"There is no fighting going on between Israel Defense Forces troops and Hamas inside Israel, and the IDF has re-taken control of all communities around the Gaza Strip," IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari was quoted as saying on Monday morning.

Amid the deadly Israel-Hamas conflict, US President Joe Biden extended his support for Israel to overcome the crisis caused by the unprecedented terrorist assault by Hamas.

Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the USS Gerald R Ford aircraft carrier and group of warships to the eastern Mediterranean and said that Washington was augmenting fighter aircraft squadrons in the region.
