A 23-year-old student from India tragically passed away in the US after accidentally firing his hunting rifle and shooting himself on his birthday. The incident occurred on November 13 while Aryan Reddy was celebrating his birthday with friends at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
During the celebration, Reddy reportedly took out his new hunting rifle to clean it, but accidentally discharged a round, which struck his chest, according to officials.

Upon hearing the gunshot, Reddy's friends, who were in another room, rushed to his side and found him lying in a pool of blood. They quickly took him to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.
Reddy, a second-year Master of Science student at Kansas State University, was originally from Bhuvanagiri in Telangana, although his family now resides in the Uppal district.
His body is expected to be flown back to his hometown later tonight, officials confirmed.
