Harvard Granted One Month Extension In Trump Dispute Over International Student Ban: Reports
Harvard University has warned that revoking its ability to enrol international students would affect roughly a quarter of its student population.
On Thursday, a federal judge is set to decide whether to extend a temporary block on the Trump administration's attempt to implement such a measure.

US District Judge Allison Burroughs will review whether to prolong the temporary injunction she issued last Friday, which halted the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from enforcing the proposed revocation.
Speaking from the Oval Office on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump stated that Harvard should impose a 15 per cent limit on the admission of international students.
"Harvard has got to behave themselves," he remarked.
The Trump administration had previously accused Harvard of enabling antisemitism and violence on campus, as well as collaborating with the Chinese Communist Party.
However, Harvard's legal team described the move as part of an "unprecedented and retaliatory attack on academic freedom" at the institution.
The university is also involved in a separate legal battle over the administration's decision to withdraw $3 billion in federal research grants.
Harvard's lawyers contended that the revocation of the university's certification was carried out suddenly and in violation of federal procedures, which mandate that DHS must provide a valid justification, advance notice, and an opportunity for the institution to respond.
The university further argued that the administration's actions infringed upon its constitutional rights to free speech and due process, as protected under the US Constitution and the Administrative Procedure Act.
According to a Reuters report, DHS regulations require the department to allow a 30-day period for institutions to contest allegations and submit supporting evidence.
