Father of missing Sherin Matthews changes statement, says he had seen her choking to death over milk
The jigsaw puzzle of the missing 3 year old Sherin Matthews from Dallas, USA has started falling into place with Wesley Matthews the father changing his statement and stating that he had seen his adopted daughter choke over a glass of milk.
According to BBC News, according to the police warrant, Wesley has provided an alternative statement to the detectives.

He now claims that on that day he was trying to get her to try to drink her milk. The duo were in the garage of their Dallas home.
Eventually the 3 year old started drinking the milk. Wesley was physically assisting the 3 year old special needs child to drink the milk when she began to choke.
The child began to cough and started chocking. "Eventually Wesley Matthews no longer felt a pulse on the child and believes she had died" stated the report.
Police state that Wesley has admitted to removing the child's body from the house. Police however has not yet declared the cause of Sherin's death.
Wesley is being held for causing felony injury to a child, the charges for which carries a maximum penalty of life time imprisonment.
Incidentally 37 year old Wesley Matthews, the adoptive father of the missing girl had earlier told the police that he had left the girl on October 7, in an alley near the house located in the 900 block of Sunningdale at around 3am on that day as a punishment for not drinking her milk.
He claimed that he had returned after 15 minutes to check out on her to find her missing. Coyotes are known to frequent this area.
Wesley had then gone indoors waiting for her to return on her own or had decided to launch a search later during the morning.
He further claimed that his wife, the girl's mother Sini Mathew's was unaware of the incident as she was sleeping.
On Texas police on October 22 had discovered the body of a child who they believe could be of the 3 year old Sherin. The body was discovered by search dogs in a culvert near East Spring Valley and South Bowser Roads, east of US Highway 75. The location is less than a mile away from the missing girl's home.
Wesley Matthews was earlier arrested for endangering the life of a child. He was later released from jail after furnishing a bond and surrendering his passport. He is also required to wear an electronic tracking device.
On 9th October Child Protective Services also took custody of Sherin's 4 year old sister and placed her in foster care. Sherin's mother is engaged in a legal battle to regain custody of the 4 year old.
Reports state that the Mathew's couple, originally from Kerala, had adopted this special needs child Sherin from an NGO in Nalanada, Bihar.
