Evacuate Now! Tsunami Warning Sweeps Russian Coasts Following Japan Quake
Russian news agency TASS, citing authorities, reported that regions including parts of Sakhalin island's western shore, as well as the mainland Primorsk and Khabarovsk areas close to Japan on Russia's Pacific coast, face a potential tsunami threat.
This comes after an earthquake, measuring approximately 7.6 in magnitude, struck central Japan on Monday, prompting tsunami warnings and evacuation directives for residents in the affected areas.

Russian authorities in the port city of Vladivostok, Primorsk region, urged those at sea to return to shore immediately.
Reports from Sakhalin and Khabarovsk regions, as noted by TASS, suggest that the expected wave is not anticipated to pose a life-threatening risk.
