PM Modi and UK PM Starmer Aim for Closer Collaboration in Technology and Green Energy
During the G20 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in discussions with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Modi expressed a strong desire to collaborate in fields like technology, green energy, security, and innovation. He emphasised the importance of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UK, highlighting its significance for India.

Modi arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday after a two-day visit to Nigeria. At the summit, he met leaders from various countries, including Italy, Indonesia, Norway, and Portugal. These interactions aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and explore opportunities for cooperation in diverse sectors.
Focus on Strategic Partnerships
In a social media post, Modi described his meeting with Starmer as "extremely productive." He reiterated India's commitment to enhancing trade and cultural connections with the UK. The prime minister also shared photographs of his interaction with Starmer during their meeting.
Earlier on Tuesday, Modi had a brief interaction with US President Joe Biden. However, details of their conversation were not immediately available. Modi's engagements at the summit included talks with leaders from Brazil, Singapore, and Spain.
Strengthening Global Ties
Modi's meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron focused on collaboration in space, energy, and artificial intelligence. Both leaders discussed strategies to continue working closely in these sectors. This reflects India's ongoing efforts to strengthen global partnerships in critical areas.
