Bhatkal resident detained in Dubai over alleged ISIS link
Dubai, Nov 22: In a major development an operative allegedly linked to the ISIS has been detained in Dubai. Adnan Damudi a resident of Bhatkal in Karnataka was detained by the Dubai police. His activities were being watched after India shared information with their counterparts in Dubai.
Damudi an accountant by profession moved to Dubai in 2012. His activities came under the scanner as he was allegedly recruiting for the ISIS.

The Intelligence Bureau was closely watching his twitter account @adnandamudi through which he is alleged to have propagated on behalf of the ISIS. He is said to have influenced several Indians. Some of his targets were in Telangana.
Indian agencies are in touch with their counterparts in Dubai and are seeking his extradition. However the current status of Damudi is not clear.
India is seeking information from Dubai about his status post detention. However India feels that his deportation from Dubai may provide some vital leads regarding the recruitment process undertaken by the ISIS in India
